Reserving Learning Commons Space:

To reserve space in the PCHS Learning Commons, whether to work at tables or to have classes check out books, please email, call, or ask the Learning Commons Staff, to check the Learning Commons’ master calendar for availability. Please keep in mind that Testing Dates set by the site administration may take priority. We will make every effort to accommodate your schedule if a conflict arises. If your plans change, please notify us so we may open the Learning Commons to other teachers.

If you would like the media specialist to collaboratively teach a lesson, please contact the media specialist prior and discuss possible dates and topics. We want to provide the most benefical experiences for our students.

To reserve the Black Box, please contact Anna Walker, Fine Arts Department Chair.

Sending Students to the Learning Commons:

All students must have a hall pass/permission slip signed by the classroom teacher to use the Learning Commons. If the student does not have a pass signed by the classroom teacher, the student will be sent back to class.

The classroom teacher must accompany whole classes (or groups larger than 4 students) to the Learning Commons and remain with them while the class is using the Learning Commons. If the classroom teacher is absent, a substitute teacher may not bring the class to the library, and alternative plans should be utilized.

By following these policies, we hope to make the Learning Commons available to as many teachers and classes as possible. We look forward to working with you this year. If you have any questions, please contact us.
